Living in a Freshman Dorm

My posting time lately has been filling up with other activities recently.

Today I finally convinced myself to email my future roommate. I still haven’t heard from her so I finally bit the bullet and sent her an email. I’m hoping to hear from her soon. I got stuff to talk to her about!! Haha.

And I finally joined the facebook groups from my dorm and floor and I’m slowly coming to the realization that my dorm is almost entirely freshman. In fact after talking with one of my friends, I’m almost certain my future roommate is a freshman.

Oh my.

It’s not like I have a problem with that or anything, that’s just not what I was expecting. My friend even suggested I might be seen as cool because I’m older and know my way around things. What??? Me?? Cool?? Never.

So, this year should definitely be interesting.

Hopefully my dorm this year is a lot more social than the one I was in last year.
It was really sad. We were all supposed to be a part of the International Affairs Scholars program, you know – have a common interest, and I didn’t talk to half of the people in there. It was super clique-y. It was sad. I got treated more friendly-er when I went to other dorms than I did when I was in my own dorm.

So anyways, I hope this year isn’t like that. I need more friends.

But yeah, that’s all I got to talk about tonight.
I spent like 2 hours tonight changing the theme of this blog only to change it back to what I had originally. I am so indecisive sometimes.

Good night peoples!!

Stumbled upon this while bouncing around facebook and creeping through future dorm mates info sections. I wouldn’t consider our dorm a “freshman” dorm, I just think a lot of the people actually using that group page are freshman and a lot of people who have questions, are freshman. The 11th floor is slic (sophomore learning & involvement community), and so the majority of it are sophomore with some freshman exceptions that I think might actually just be first years with enough transfer credit.
and +1 to social dorm. My old one was pretty social but the entire other hall of my floor was either antisocial or a clique.

    • You have a point. The most vocal Facebook users are gonna be freshman. Regardless, it doesn’t matter to me whether the majority are freshman, it will just be strange to be “old”. Haha.
